For the first few years of my career in colour analysis, I tried to put everyone into bright cerise pink - because I love it!

Then I went with a friend to have my colours done by two other consultants, both of whom were Autumns. Now I am a Winter and I wear cool, in-your-face colours but these two put me in these make-up colours; fudge blusher, bronze lipstick and peach eyeshadow. It makes me feel ill now just to think of it. I said to my friend, "Get me to the car as fast as you can because I look and feel hideous!"

Big lesson learned. These two Autumns put me in Autumn colours because they liked them. From that day on, I stopped trying to put my clients into the colours I liked and started looking at what THEY looked good in.

You are doing the same, aren't you?
