This is a great Carribean / reggae version of The Beach Boys' classic song, Sloop John B as performed by the PS22 Chorus of 2003

The PS22 Chorus is not a middle, intermediate, or high school group. It is comprised of about 70 public elementary school fifth graders from New York City. Visit our above website for more!

  • W o n d e r r f u l on Every Level !

  • as i know this is a johnny cash song!

    lovely eitherway

  • The song was a classic long before the Beach Boys recorded Pet Sounds.

    If you need evidence:

The wreck of the ship, John B(ethel) still lies on the ground of the harbour of Eleuthera, Bahamas.

The Beach Boys btw. never claimed they made this song.

They paid tribute to the great folk somng heritage of the west indies.

Watch out for the version "Sloop John B" by Blind Blake Higgs.

  • How wonderful !!! God Bless , these Chiildren !! .. I hope one day , that , they will be able to see , the Sea & enjoy a trip, on one of the Ships, that , take Children, from all Countries , on a Sea Journey .. Canada has such a Program for Children..

  • It's nice to hear younger people sing these wonderful harmonious songs of the Beach Boys.

As they get older, they will remember this melody and lyrics for life.

  • this is great! I love the slight changes in the song. Great Beach Boys song!
