Filipinaibg-This is a secular strong by a mainstream artist. JosiahVitalis-Because they normally open up their songs with a current popular mainstream song. I think it's a great idea. It attracts the audience automatically and especially people who aren't saved. Then later on in the show, they do songs that have the MESSAGE in them and it leads people to Jesus. And the lyrics aren't terrible so I think it's a great idea. :) I'm sorry if you disagree!

@PkPrincess1992 Newsboys have traditionally NEVER opened or covered other artists (with the Exception of D&K) Not till Michael Tait joined the band did they start opening with a popular song from a non christian artist. They have been touring non stop since the 1990's so for the greater part of their careers they did not start off with another artist's song. Michael Tait is probably just doing what he knows best, as DC talk used to open up with a Beatles song.

i was there last night it was awesome and i got to meet and hang out with duncan the newsboys drummer!!!!when he was givin me his auto he asked me to hold his cup..... so i kept it!!!
