If Carrie were truly smart, she'd pick up on the subtle clues Alex's ex-wife is giving about the type of man Alex is.. he walks over those in his personal life -- if they allow it. And how could Carrie be in Paris for two weeks and not enroll in some French classes? She may write, but she's not that bright.
