This is Hannah getting a lesson "How to Walk Breeze on a Loose Leash". Breeze (a puppy mill rescued dog) has never walked with a child before, and only with 2 adults who she knows very well. There was confusion at first but in less than 4 minutes Breeze and Hannah were doing fine. It worked because Hannah is a great student, listens and follows directions. ..making it easier for Breeze to "get it" It is a tough concept for a child - to NOT use hands/arms to pull the dog in reaction to the dog beginning to pull...heck, it's hard for a lot of adults. This is first time they tried it - at first confusion-- but near end doing great! Very proud of both!

Great video, we taught our daughter very young to walk our dogs too. I really appreciate you sharing your demo, very responsible and very generous! Do you recommend any books for parents helping their children start with dogs?
