@becalmned Seems most Scottish historians will disagree with you, most notably historian/archaeologist Neil Oliver as well as my cousin and friend who both studied our history at uni.
@albabhoy81 the pictish "fusion" with the "celts" epic fail on two parts right there. the "fusion" as you like to call it may be called genocide in modern language.as for the "celts" do you mean the ones from northumbria, cornwall, or france? and yes I have traced my bloodline quite far and there is not one drop of irish blood.but hey maybe my great great great great great grandad was king of ireland! you're from weegie land so I'll let you off.(more like he was king of norway)
@becalmned lol someone is angry! you on your dabs mate? See one of my first posts on this top, just one page back I mention the Picts.
I'm fully aware of the Pictish fusion with the Celts. It's not possible for you to trace your blOOdline far enough back to rule out any Irish heritage. Anyone that denies the MAJOR Irish influence in Scotland is just an ignorant fOOl.
I prefer a Scottish single malt thanks. Glasgow born and bred. Scottish not British. That's me.
@albabhoy81 I see you have totally erased the picts from you're little uneducated revisionist history of scotland.I come from Edinburgh, and our people and bloodline certanily does not come from ireland."we are irish evey fucker knows that" who? the gaels came from ireland, they did not come to an empty unpopulated wasteland you asshole.now,go and pour yourself a wee "irish"whisky.by the way,I think this "song" is ridiculous.
@celtsbhoy88 Oh so after 300 years, it's not their home? So should all the black and Asian people who have "only" been here since in the 1960s go home cos it's not their home either, is it?
What about the Irish-Americans who have ""only"" been there since 16th century onwards? Should they go home too? No Irish Need Apply - you weren't wanted there either.
What a little bigot you are. Start looking on the ORANGE side of life!
