nice vid dave, yeah it's personal prefrence in relation to what are better model aircraft, personally i found having flown model planes for 2 years before i bought my first model heli it was easier to fly the helicopter as you generate a feeling for the sticks and an idea of what must be done when the aircraft is both facing and not facing you. go to your local hobby shop and ask about model plane trainers and which energy source would best suit your needs (gas or electric)
