@Yellyist the only things kennedy was got involved with the mob, bought an election, started the cold war (which Reagan ended), started Vietnam, to his credit he did cut taxes. But Kennedy died too early in his presidency to be deemed great. Three years to Reagans 8. The Kennedy's were bootlegging crooks.

Whatever you think of Reagan generally he is right about what he says here, that the college athletes should feel like students and not just hired hands--we are still having trouble achieving that today. There are too many dispiriting stories of college football players leaving campus after their senior seasons without bothering to stick around for an extra semester and graduate.
