Survivors of sexual abuse by Catholic priests have asked the International Criminal Court in the Hague to investigate the pope for allowing the rape and abuse of children.
Two groups based in New York filed a complaint alleging the pontiff and three other cardinals committed crimes against humanity because they tolerated the abuse and enabled it to take place.
Cover-up scandals have shocked Europe and the US in recent years.

@MaximusProteus The Enlightenment freed men from the slavery of the Vatican - both in spiritual & secular terms. It freed them to seek God Himself....not slavery to the corrupt Vatican. It freed them socially, giving legitimate civil rights to the common man, which were DENIED by the Church.
Most real saints were so in spite of the Vatican - which usually oppressed & persecuted them.

@MaximusProteus Alms are to be given to the poor, in secret 'that only your Father in heaven sees'. NOT to the Vatican. Not for tax deductions....peer approval....awards....praise. The Church has NO RIGHT to demand ANY money! Period!
As to Opus Dei, they are the descendants of the Templars, formed in hell itself. Escriva was possessed & is NOT a saint! He wrote, taught & founded the 'Gospel of hell'.

The Papacy used the Templars to both create modern systems of usary, banking, credit - & enforce them. Opus Dei is simply a modern manifestation of the Templars - & of something very ancient & evil, from hell itself.
Mr. Escriva was literally possessed. He is NOT a saint. What he wrote, taught & founded is the 'Gospel of hell'.

I told you, todays taxes and laws makes the people, thier work, children, bodies far more enslaved.
Quite the opposite way, as it was the only institution that provided any education for ages... So called "enlightment" only perverted and twisted culture and knowladge.
