Not brave or courageous...idiotic!

I had never heard of John Carroll University, but clearly its students are a brave and courageous group. Good for them! And too bad the University itself is so cowardly.

@tvfreak67 you're probably just angry cause you're gay.

As an LGBT alumni of John Carroll University, this video really makes me tear up. Thank you, students, for having the courage that I didn't have when I was attending there. I spent my whole time there closeted and afraid. Thank you for helping to make the school a better place for future LGBT students.

I'm a JCU alum. . .and it's actually nice (for once) to see JCU students having some kind of backbone and standing up for something.
As for the gay-bashers, news to you - it's a catholic-jesuit school - the place is full of closeted and out gays. Deal with it. . .
This certainly is more interesting and relevant theater than D-III basketball.

i'm embarrassed as a student. why do they have to be so annoying, and unwilling to move?
-
the total amount of gays and lesbos on campus I would surmise

If you're gay why would you go to a private catholic university? Or is that what your parents wanted you to be??
I am a student at JCU and am beyond proud of this act of courage shown by both students, staff, and faculty. I only wish that I had known about the sit-in - I would have gladly participated.

As a member of the faculty at John Carroll University, I stand in solidarity with the brave allies and members of the JCU LGBTQ community to recognize the ethical responsibility we share to interrupt practices of hatred and oppression. Too many of the righteous have fallen in the name of freedom, in the name of democracy, in the name of The Creator of the Universe! Stop the hate. The time to act is now; the time for justice and equality is now.
