Transit Union President Bob Kinnear takes on Toronto Mayor Rob Ford

Toronto's ATU Local 113 President Bob Kinnear makes a deputation to the City Council Executive Committee concerning proposed service cuts to the Toronto Transit Commission and is highly critical of Mayor Ford unwillingness to meet with the union and demands that Ford deal with the massive Toronto taxpayer subsidies of out-of-towners who regularly take the TTC.

In addition to the first paragraph. Unions would be able to gather support of the people by saying that City Workers give back almost (average) $3,000.00

in property taxes. They buy from local businesses. Rob Ford knows that a large percentage of city workers live in the 905 and 705 and doesn't care about you. Your vote does not count. Trust me if even half the workers moved back he would not be the mayor. I know it could mean going from a large home to a small condo, Our voice would be heard

Bob mentioned something about the 905 and 705'rs (not proper english, I know)

not paying property taxes and having their rides subsidized by the people of Toronto. How about the fact that more than half all city workers live in the 905 and 705 area codes. Imagine if they lived in the city. First, Rob Ford would not be Mayor and Unions could shine with the fact that they really give back to their city. Now that would be one hard fact KPMG to deal with. I went from a 905 home to 416 condo.
