Why this woman hasn't been given a Damehood is beyond me! Or maybe she's been offered it & turned it down,who knows! Doesn't really matter I guess,'cause Dame or not she is a comic genius.I've been lucky enough to see her twice and both times I wished I'd taken my own supply of oxygen cause she leaves you gasping for breath! She really ought to come on prescription,she could save the NHS a ruddy forune in antidepressants!

@popazz1 I know what you mean - I saw her in Sydney back in the 90's and I'd wished I had that oxygen as I laughed til I cried. She is so clever. Thank God for Vic Wood!!!

Actually if you watch this clip and other similar ones Victoria does, it goes to show she is quite a fit lady. Not many could perform the sketch, do the movements AND still be able to talk n breath LOL

@penfloyd No i have to say she's the best comedian male or female, i must say i do prefer Victoria to Kenn Dood, but that's just my opinion although i must say Kenn Dood is very funny, but in my opinion it's VW, VW ,VW :) Victoria Wood rules !!! Who agrees with me?

OMG,someone who's flakier than me,lol.The last time she appeared in a dream of mine she was dressed as Sister Mary Baptist,this demon nun from my junior school days,only she was still VW & she made being at school a treat,lol.Gotta say,though,your dream certainly tops mine.HURRAH!

don't ask. I had a dream last night and she was on the telly, asking what the perks to Damehood were. In the end she finally agreed, so long as she got a pass to use anyone's car as a taxi, the right to hop backwards on all crosswalks, and a Tescos all her one, where all the workers were geriatic rens on unicycles.

Love this so funny she's my favourite comedian and she is a fit lady to be able to do this sketch and she's done more sketches like this :) This is my exersise video ;) thank god for Victoria Wood if we didn't have her the world would be a very boring and there'd be a lot less laughs.

Yup,not all 'stars' are greedy for medals off the queen,lol. I imagine,as you say,she's happy with her CBE. Not a huge ammount makes me happy these days,(Victor Meldrew syndrome),but she certainly can ALWAYS cheer up my day!

@popazz1 Well she is a CBE maybe she thinks thats enough, but i know what you mean! Even when i feel like crap i dig out dinnerladies or acorn antiques or one of these sorts of clips...... and i feel much better....
