Colac Otway Shire is planning to go ahead with the "Joint-use" Library, they have NOT recieved Federal or State funding and have NOT yet Borrowed the 1.3 Million Dollars reqired to attempt this "Social Experiment! The People of Colac have submitted over 3000 written petitions, and a Public Library poll, the result proving 93% of current Public Library users do NOT want to share a Library with young Children on School Grounds! Although the Colac Otway Shire Council is fully aware of this Public Objection, it has been completely IGNORED by the Council. It is YOUR VOICE that can overturn the Council plans!....Send an email just type "we say NO to a Joint-Use Libray" and Address it to savecolaclibrary@iprimus.com.au And we will forward them to ALL Relevant Politicians!...This plan is NOT a Done Deal, with YOUR help we CAN save the Colac Library!

The People of the Colac Otway Shire have been "SCAMMED"! Colac's "GREAT BIG NEW UNWANTED WHITE ELEPHANT" [the Joint Use School Library] will only have FOUR "Public Use" computers [exactly what we have now] The Education Dept can remove the Shire council from the "Agreement" at "ANYTIME" for "ANY REASON" this is why we continue to fight for an Industry standard centrally located Public Library in the City of Colac. The council broke their Mandate and will place School children at RISK!

about time the People of Colac stood up to the Council, I can imagine how much our rates will rise in order to pay back that 1.3 million bucks! And who wants to go out to Queen st the only thing near it is a School tuck shop.....well I suppose thats fits .cause the Library is in the School! the council are Bean Heads!
