According to the American Psychiatric Associations, Cannabis (Marijuana) intoxication is an official mental disorder listed in the DSM or Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental Disorders.

This isn't to be confused with pot addiction, dependency or abuse, this is just being high.

Factually marijuana use has been associated with psychosis and it is not believed that pot is conducive to good mental health.

If marijuana can stop pain, then that's a good thing. If it can help in other medical areas of giving people help from nausea that's a good thing. I can't see keeping it illegal anymore than keeping alcohol illegal, so it comes down to "Stopping the Federal Government from imposing restrictions on it's use" then I'm for it. Drug War is causing more deaths than anyone using drugs. Let the States decide about regulation, keep out the Federal Government from controlling substance uses.

She's merely stating what it says in a medical journal. We all know what marijuana does to the user. We also know what alcohol does to the user. Is alcoholic use a mental disorder? I'd say, it can be. How many alcoholics have you known throughout your life? I've known enough to say that marijuana and alcohol are two sides of a bad coin, but that if one chooses to use alcohol they don't necessary get drunk, and using marijuana doesn't hurt the kidneys or liver, per se. I don't use either.
