Good spot!
It's a bit of a first - I'd never seen a Jonathan Ross performance that had a backing track; but it seems this does have - just with the vocals live (like TOTP did in early 90's). Perhaps, this practice was only used in the first series, and thankfully gotten rid of ever since.
