My BFAH thesis video, completed over 8 months at the University of Manitoba.
'Judder' is a stop motion animation detailing the lives of characters in a fractured reality, functioning at different frame rates. This short explores the dangers this brings and the freedoms it offers.
Animation by Emily Baxter

Loved it. It's different...but it's a good different :)

Love the idea of fractured reality/ kids walk to school / they too feel fractured reality / in & out of some sort of system / limbo ... till they move on...like the music!

Wow, I had to watch this several times. I can barely comprehend how you worked out the different frame rates for each character. Very inspirational. Thanks for sharing

That is truly moving... in more ways than one. I could easily write more about this than YouTube will allow, it's absolutely beautiful in concept and execution. And Brett's music is an amazing companion to the film, deep and moving.
If you haven't thought of entering this into the film festivals, you should. I will download this film for safe keeping because if you want to enter it in festivals, you should probably remove it from here.
See you at SMA. :)
