I play killzone 2 on CRT projector with HDFury adapter to send hdmi out to analogue via vga. picture is good. at 725 lumens 120 inch or less is ideal. if u try 200 inches like i did, any black detail is gone. CRT doesn't block light like bulb units so you get better blacks and contrast.
i have electric 120 inch screen but don't use it, no room at the oment.
10000 hours and still going strong.
when i get my ps3bck i'll post a video.

@t3hmauler Cool thx for the quick reply. As I said on my other post I am going to get the Logitech Z5500 surround sound system as I have already heard it in action and it is immense

@DEEZY79999 lol its funny you should say that because im probably going to get the Logitech Z5500 as someone i know has it and the power is AMAZING. Its a desktop system but due to its power its more than adequate for home cinema also. So excited!

@No3225 Not really, the only thing is that because the projector is so bright, that it reflects off my wall a lot. For example, playing Modern Warfare, if someone hits you with a flash bang, it actually brightens up the entire room and can actually be a little bit hard on your eyes. Other than that, it's not really any different than a TV or a Monitor, it's just a lot bigger.

@No3225 as far as I can tell, you can't set the refresh rate independently, it is done automatically. Mine runs at 60Hz on 720p and when receiving a 1080p signal, if that helps.

@No3225 The refresh rate is 43-120 Hz. I haven't really had noticable problems with lag after playing a lot of online games.
I am pretty much set on this projector but what else do you need? I already have a PS3, do you think a projector screen is necessary?
Also what do you need for sound and how much does the sound equipment cost?
Any additional cables needed??

@juvenil6969 I don't use a screen, so you can get by without one as long as you have a good wall to project on.
You will need some sort of sound system, and I'd recommend getting a surround sound system that fits with your budget (you can get one for between $100-$300) and you'll need a digital optical cable to plug your PS3 into the surround sound system.
Otherwise, I use HDMI to plug my PS3 into the projector, and that's all you really need.

Do you have any problems with overheating or anything like that?

@soulweaponry It does get very hot, but I haven't had it malfunction due to the heat before. I have on the other hand, had my bulb blow up after about 10 months and 500 hours of use. I called Optoma and they replaced the bulb for no charge even though it was well out of warrant.y Since I got my projector back from them, it seems like it runs cooler, so if you had any problems with it, they might fix it for free.
