  • Hey, Tpickering. Quick question. I gave little thing not too long ago about the sharpshooter. People are debatin'. If I give you a vid of my sloppy version of doing the sharpshooter, lol, can you see if you can clean it up a bit and make it better?

  • This is pretty cool. I know you can use submissions from pro wrestlin', and both Shoot Wrestlin' and catch wrestin' are in Pro Wrestlin'. It's just staged, is all. And heavily exaggerated/stylized in America. Tell me, is there a way to do the Sharpshooter??

  • I have never tried. I see what I can come up with after I do some research.

  • I always loved pro wrestling since I was young and the cloverleaf was one of my favorite moves. Now I'm i college and doing MMA training so I get double the excitement over this move, I will try this for sure. Former Amateur Wrestler + Pro Westling Fan + MMA Training = THIS MOVE!

  • I glad to hear it, alot of people poopoo moves like these but they work, I have caught this in alot of matches and used it to pass to rear control or actually got the panic tap. Thanks for the kind words and keep rolling brother!

  • This reminds me of pro wrestler Dean Malenko. I would have loved to see Malenko doing some real grappling/jiu-jitsu/CACC. I'm sure he would have been great and a great teacher. Even if it was staged, it was clear that Dean Malenko was naturally gifted for submission wrestling.

  • @SFCajlewis you have to squeeze with your hands and pull backwards with your back and arms puts a lot of pressure on the ankle and calfs :)

  • so is it the actual squeezing with your hands that make your opponent tap?

  • @b7r7u7c7e It is easier setting up the TCL from butterfly guard. Josh Barnett and Erik Paulson used to teach this many years ago. I think if you find Sakuraba's old instructional, he shows how to set it up from the butterfly, Cheers

  • fake

  • @cjmagiera2010 I'm not trying to be pretentious, but I think you're thinking of the Boston crab. If so, it's different type of submission. It's a spine lock that's pretty dangerous if applied with force.

  • I teach grappling submission wrestling in san jose and tried this after watching this video. You'll get a tap for sure problem is its impossible to get! However I was surprised how quick the pain comes. Its basically a double Achilles lock.

  • @TheHuntingRKO but before they are on their belly they are already tapping once you clasp your hands on the leg under that figure four. it's the same way the leglock works

  • @tpickering what's the difference between this and when people appy the move while sitting on the opponents back
