Synopsis: It was a challenge to cast a non-actor in the title role. But Subhash Ghai, with a keen eye for talent, created history at the box office with this unique love story. Jackie (Jackie Shroff), a Bombay hitman, kidnaps the daughter of the police commissioner (Meenakshi Sheshadri) to negotiate the release of his boss (a don) from jail, only to fall in love with the beautiful damsel.
