  • @StasAnanas because most of teh actual gpus cant deal with all features of DX11 perfectly. Tesselation and all new lighting capabilities requires a lot of gpu performance that actuals gpu cant have. I mean, of course, gpus actually can deal with nice games using teh latest graphics, but when they are all used together they requires a lot of gpu and tesselation is one of those characteristics. Same happen few years ago when enabling DX10 effect make games slow as hell.

  • I REALLY don't understand why DX11 did not explode in fame. It seems to be such a breakthrough!

  • It is already used in games. Metro 2033 for example uses tessalation.

  • Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on PC will have have Hardware Tesselation I belive. It's out in early March.

  • so when will be all this used in real games ? on chracters and objects ?
