it seems all the great ones die young, they leave behind the losers

@ableach22 Wellstone won 2 Senate terms and died right before winning the third term.
-
Who?
-
@ableach22 Yes. He was one of the leading liberal advocates in the Senate before his tragic death in '02.
-
did he win?

@azegas Jack Welch has not been Tweety's boss for eons. He's retired. The NBC franchise is firmly in the White House sphere of influence. Don't you remember Brian Williams kissing butt in his "exclusive" interview with Pres. Obama? They've Come To Jesus (or Barack) since the Bush Days--they simply want ACCESS, and they'll do what needs doing to get it. The GOP NBC is in hiding, for now. Tweety is a moderate to conservative Dem--not a progressive. He never was one, though.

@tranurse Sorry--I pushed the wrong button. I agree with your POV re: Wellstone and Carnahan. I just can't get behind ascribing every air accident to nefarious motives.

i don't think anyone murdered jfk jr. my husband does. i think wellstone may have been, and maybe even carnahan, but jfk was a bad accident. and phranquegallo was the one who said that.

Yeah, so's Zell Miller and a majority of registered voters in Oklahoma. It doesn't mean much: they might be registered Democrats, but they haven't voted Democratic in quite some time.

Tweety loves George Bush and he's good friends with Tom DeLay. Hardly sounds like a left-winger to me. True, he used to be a Democratic staffer, but that was decades ago. His boss, Jack Welch, has openly bragged about getting Tweety to do what he's told. And Welch is certainly no liberal.
i miss senator wellstone. i met him in 1997, in tampa. i was at the state democratic convention. anyway, we were having supper, and he came over to see my then 2 y/o son, because he and his wife thought he was adorable. they sat at our table, ate dinner with us, and we just had a really nice conversation. he was one o f the good guys.

I find it difficult to believe that any large and powerful corporation would hold "leftist" beliefs. Perhaps you don't quite understand what leftism is. ALL major corporate networks are right-leaning (with some exceptions, like Olbermann), but FOX is just more blatant.
