also, at a labour party conference [before thatcher] ppl could stand up and make their voice heard to the leader of the party. from relatively small things such as putting road islands to stop crashes on roads to the loss of 2000 jobs in a town thru factory closing. these were all addressed.

if u speak out at ANY party conf. now u r thrown out.

socialism is about the ordinary ppl being HEARD by those SO HIGH UP they brush us aside NOW.

in UK, socialism produced free healthcare [well, u actually pay National Insurance..which isn't much],dentalcare, the water, gas, electricity was owned by the people [put simply], no big corps buying all the services out then hiking the prices like today. thatcher sold all these services to businesses that fkd UK up. it lined the pockets of the rich at the expense of the ordinary person.

UK rail & BT became monopolies [as did the rest] which didnt create jobs, just cash for the rich.

But even with this recession and stagflation for most of us, the wealth of the top 1% (especially top 0.1% and above) has increased dramatically over the last few decades.

So a solution is to raise the historically low taxes on the wealthiest, end corporate loopeholes and tax havens, a small tax on Wall St. speculation, cut military spending, then invest this revenue in creating millions of jobs in green energy, education, infrastructure, health, etc.

We have a jobs crisis, not a debt crisis.

I checked out this video because I eventually got truly worried about the economy and had little idea what to do. Cash money does not always mean a single thing nowadays. So I chose to do some research and discovered Goldiverse. I am so lucky, I can change my savings from cash to different currencies, to any precious metal as soon as I would like. The government can go and take a jump for all I care. Just Bing and google it Goldiverse.
