The first time I heard of Icarus Witch I was reading a metal magazine (I think Decibel) and I saw an ad for the "Roses On White Lace" EP and I was like, "That can't be a reference to the Alice Cooper song." But it was.

@zeldagana Matthew Bizilia, the band's former vocalist. He left the band to form a solo project called Habitual Sins.

Covers are C-O-V-E-R-S! They're not meant to be carbon copies of the original. They are a band's take on a song that they love. Icarus Witch is an incredible band and this is a great C-O-V-E-R!

This is completley off.

@sataninacan I sing actual notes and Metal music. The point I'm making is that growling/bellowing doesn't require talent, Singing does. DIO sang Metal Music and had pitch, as does Biff Byford of Saxon and Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden and many others that sing a similar type of Metal. That type of Metal takes talent. Death Metal does not. That why Pantera did more of the growling bellowing vocals when Phil Anselmo lost his range and voice. I think you may be gravely mistaken.

@Stratonini As a singer who sings actual notes and cannot do metal vocals that well, I can say you're gravely mistaken. Singing notes is easy business. Metal vocals are tough.

I gotta agree with you there.
