"Ai Du" in a nutshell:
Trusting fellow humans
empowers you
know yourself first to
better know the others
give and receive love
and to seek knowledge

At about 2:25, Ali says: "This instrument has taught me how to play the guitar...". We are grateful and indebted to AFT and to his master, the gurkel/djerkel! RIP!

An excerpt from AFT's "Hilly Yoro" (I'll upload it in due time):
Life is a combination of pain and joy
everyone should follow his/her own path
If a man is blind, another can see for him
if you've no feet, I can walk for you...
(i.e. indvidual freedom + social responsibility)

Great video and the additional info explains a lot, thanks! I saw Toure once live in London and that was one of the best concerts I ever witnessed. I've been to gigs by the greatest artists, but I never saw so much emotions and smiles on the spectators' faces though hardly anybody spoke the languages hes singing in. Almost everybody was in trance. R.I.P.
