"The Weary Kind" is a country song written by Bingham and T-Bone Burnett for the film Crazy Heart, directed by Scott Cooper and starring Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

"The Weary Kind" won the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 2009 82nd Academy Awards. Bingham was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for "The Weary Kind" at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards.
