  • Can't believe this the solution. Current government is too stupid...

  • they are leftists. they are not intereted in american beef itself. they just want to overthrow current korean government.

  • well we deserve to eat what is right you know and i do not understand any relationship between mad cow disease protesting and starvation in N.K.

  • It really is a crime that Koreans are protesting a nonissue while their brothers and sisters are tortured and millions dying of starvation in North Korea, just 30 miles north of Seoul.

  • You do have a point, especially regarding traffic laws and disorderly conduct; however, you have to remember that Korea is still a developing nation, but one that generally tends to advance more quickly than others. Things are changing here. Slowly but surely. Give it time.

  • All this talk about violence in the protests is interesting. There have been protests daily for weeks now and the violence that has occured has been minimal.

It is also interesting to point out that the protests against the Grand Canal (of which I was a part) were never met with violence, not one incident. And it looks as if we've won that fight - Lee Myung-bak has chosen to give the people of Korea the final decision on whether the Canal will be built or not.

  • There have been three cases of mad cow in the States, and yes one was from a cow born in Canada. However, that never indicated that the cow was infected when it arrived in the US (though, yes, Canada also has had incidents of mad cow). Regardless, all cases of the disease in the States occured in cows born before 1997. That is an important factor to remember.

  • If even one person gets mad cow disease from American beef, I will set set myself on fire to protest it being imported into Korea. Gotgryffinfor, don't try to twist my messages until until your English is able to handle it. Read some more Harry Potter and let the adults discuss this.

  • ya made me login. I can see your korean, so you think eating mad cow beef is capitalism and trying to avoid getting disease is Communism? Trying to be the rightful citizen is also what capitalism emphasise
