Half-Life 2 on the Mac Mini

Hi. I have basically got the same computer as u except i'm running 10.4.11 tiger

I was thinking about buying the orange box to play gmod and zombie panic ect. but I use parallels 4.0 for mac.

would I be able to use Parallels instead of crossover games to play because that's £26 I can save if I can run on Parallels. thanks :D

I have trouble even running those games on Parallels on my Macbook Pro. I can't imagine trying it with the Mini. No way that's happening. If you already own a copy of Windows, just use bootcamp.

your right, i have a 1.83 GHz model and the game runs even better on DX7 mode... the only problem is that the water looks really really bad... oh well. i can run the game at about 50 FPS.

if you used bootcamp with xp, your games would run faster. XP is not a resource hog like osx is. and I'm not a mac hater, i love them but that's a fact

Um... OS X uses less resources than Windows XP.

Actually it does support DX 9 just not entirely and completely. (Software shaders, not Hardware).

Rejoice MACSTERS, Steam has been on Mac computers, running on all OS X operating systems for almost a month, and as of tomorrow, the Mac Half-Life 2 is being officially retailed.
