Well we did use a three sticky jump in Doublecross which you cannot survive without dying if you use the default. You could probably make it with two stickies though, so I guess your point is valid.

When we originally planned this we thought we could use like 3-4 stickies and jump straight to the intel room but as it turned out, the edge of the skybox is actually really low in TF2, which meant that we had to use multiple smaller jumps.

Also avoiding the no intel attribute: oh so satisfying.

My point was, taking damage from the sticky jumps is healed less than 4 seconds. You could take those jumps with the regular sticky launcher which also would give you some extra firepower.
