I wonder what the Dutch think when they walk in to an American bicycle shop?
No fenders, no dynamo lights, no havy duty racks, no drum breaks, no up-right bicycles.

Damn! This is a bicycle-rich environment. Looks similiar to behinf the train station at Amsterdam Centraal. In America, we would make a heroic move to remove every single bicycle with great pride. Then we would destroy any building that was in the way of parking for cars. Then we would beuild parking structures for automobiles and force any pedestrains to walk on extremely restricted paths. We would pay people to park the cars of the rich. Utrecht looks like a great city, thank you.

There is officially space for about 12000 bikes at Utrecht's railway station now and there is a waiting list for the additional indoor guarded spaces. A new 20000 space cycle park is planned.

respect to the Netherlands.I will be happy to see this picture everywhere.I use every oppurtinity and enjoy my bicycle ;)
