Clips from a tutorial video I made for some students.

(The Nunchaku used in this video are home made, PVC plastic, with the cording similar to foam practice nunchaku. They are different in weight, balance, length, and torque, when being compared to Prochux)

  • apparently you studied for a couple years or so. Where did you learn. I myself am an upstart chaku user.

  • self taught.

  • man that rocks. One of the best nunchaku Vid on youtube

  • thank you, kindly.

  • you know oddly enough I can do most the stuff he is doing in the vid ( I just dont make it look as easy and smooth as him lol) but the one thing I still dont have down is catching the chucks together in one hand. for some reason I cant catch them like that. instead I have to sort of hold a wrist roll and catch it so they basically wrap around my hand to catch them. I know its the simplest thing to do but I cant seem to catch them folded. any tips?

  • I'll make another tutorial on the collapse, or one handed catches :)

  • nice bro i got 17 years in the chuck biz

  • unbelievable tekkers

  • Daaang...you make that look really easy. Nice work!

  • Nice...Those are called pro chucks. They are much more balanced and easier to manipulate than regular ones with a longer chain.

  • What are those nunchaku?

  • awesome.. waiting for my second nunchuck right now... =)

  • you got nunchuck skills..... but do you have computer hacking skills? or light saber skills?

  • damn, that´s great skill. unbeleaveable how fast you get´em. you probably got thin sticks!? wooden? how long is your rope in the middle? my nunchakus have 65 millimeters rope in between, if i make them shorter it handicaps me, although i know prochux are very close to each other. got any more tips for practicing?
