I think the young man who ask the question if they're missing out on something wants to explore more outside of his community. Not sexualy but socially.
I was not promoting that as a policy. Just shoring up the hypocrisy in the people attacking these folks. These same attackers likely have no problem promoting homosexual relationships while condemning polygamy between willing participating adults or adolescents of consenting age (ex: I believe consenting age in Georgia is 15 years old). Bible teaching is one man with one woman. However, in Biblical text polygamy was tolerated whereas homosexuality was not.
@Sensiblehuman no, i don't agree with that. if for some reason a man & a woman divorce, & then the man (or the woman for that matter) fall in love with another person, & the other new person they are with wants kids, i don't think its fair to deny them of that.
however i don't think a man can truly love his wife if he finds the need to go out & get another one while he's still married to her.
Maybe there should be a law stating that if a man or a woman has offspring by more than one mate in his or her lifetime, regardless of the circumstances, whether cloaked in re-marriage or not, then that is illegal and is punishable by forced removal of the children from the home and incarceration of the offender of the law. No man or woman should have the right to start or restart families with more than one consenting adult in his or her lifetime. Agree?Make it hard on the players of the world.
to everyone who says polygamy is wrong. what if it was the normal and monogamy was the abnormal would you want them to look and put monogomus people down and say thething we call them, NO so stop and let them live their lives the way they want to!
@going4truth So when God "allowed" so many concubines for David...and claimed he would even gave David more, it was God's desire but not will? Deut 21:15-17 doesn't sound like God just allowed it, but even managed it with specific commands. Why not simply say, "If a man has two wives, he is wrong!"?
@JimHinCO "ALLOWING" doesn't mean it was God's will. His ideal is, &has always been 'one man 4one woman' as seen in the way He set things up w/Adam &Eve. When the invisible became visible &walked among us as Jesus, He reiterated the same ideal, in Matthew19:4-6. The BIBLE'S God doesn't change! By accepting JS's BoM, &the idea of a changeable god, one automatically rejects the Bible! These teens don't have to follow their parents' example... they owe it 2themselves to decide which is God's Word!

Very interesting reaction from the reporter when they question her in return. I'm glad she responded and didn't simply deflect the question.
