My partner's son has autism, she spent every moment of his 13yrs & now you wouldn't know that he has it. He "They" are more intelligent than you or me...

This really works!!! Most people don't realize that this is the BASIC example. Our therapist started here and took it all the way to learning to play soccer and so on. My son is driving now and has a very normal life.

This begins to create the foundation of rich social-engagement and most significantly the foundations of HEALTHY autonomy , rather than the standard "do this!" Show me this__" ,which has absolutely NADA to do with social pragmatics of simple engagement or simple social pre-verbal or verbal communication. I'm really upset by some of the comments on this video. This child has obviously made incredible progress for his age. He is speaking, sitting still, listening, counting and smiling. If you say that this is torture just look at how much he enjoys learning and achieving. ABA is not to make him a robot. Its to help him have a functioning place in the world, rather than being unable to communicate and have complete disinterest in in others. Look at him, he is doing so wonderfully!
