Same thing -- "maze" is just a more generic term since "haunted house" kind of implies a particular theme.

To me, this is the most disgusting and disturbing maze at Knotts. (Which of course makes it the best.)

Mental Hospitals are already creepy enough. *shudders*

it was so damn funny what happened when i went through this maze. There are these parts of the walls made out of curtains for people to go through, but someone on theother side thought it was a real wall, and leaned up against it, and of course, he fell through, scary the hell out of my mom and the group in front of us. i of course laughed my ass off

@GeekChelsea It's pretty frightening, but there is no enforced age requirements. The park recommends the event for people over 12, but I have been every year since I was 8.

I went to Halloween Haunt in '06 and this was the only maze that I actually found scary. Definetely my favorite, I'm going to check out the remake this year in just a few days!
