Hey Everybody, I have had several requests on how I cut and style my country "pin up girl" bangs, so today for my favorite things I invited my friend Elle from Elan Hair Salon to show you how to do it. As you may have noticed I LOVE vintage/retro look & I think it is fun to do a little twist on the miss Betty Paige look from the 1940's. Enjoy! ~Susie

  • I have brownish reddish hair and I straighten it everyday. I deep condition my hair everyday and use damage spray before I blow dry and straighten it but it always looks dry and damaged. How do you keep your hair looking so shiny and soft?

  • i actually did cut my bangs like that after watching the "wildflower" video. Girls I love your music and I definitely voted for you on the MyYouTube. I love the vintage look on you Susie, I've been fascinated with the vintage look for years and you definitely pull it off in the modern day!

    LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!

  • i've been thinking about cutting my bangs like that for a while, but idk if i can pull off the look. ive never done it before. i have relaxed african-american hair (mixed with indian hair on my mom's side). what do u guys think?

  • you're super cute! If you're ever in LA and looking for a photographer send me a message. xo

  • how did you achieve that deep black hair color i love it:)

  • do you need thick hair for those sort of bangs

  • @emmiebiggs7 also, stretch out your straight style--don't wash it everyday. keep it for like at least a few days and set it at night to keep it from looking mussed. if it gets too oily, try a dry shampoo until your hair gets used to not being washed everyday and stops over producing oil.

  • @emmiebiggs7 you have to stop straightening it everyday. its the only answer. if anything you need to go the old school route and wet set your hair with rollers to get it straight and only concentrate your flat iron/blower on the roots. it makes sense--of course your hair would be dry if you're putting hundreds of degrees on it everyday.

  • OMG I wanna do this bang...it looks amazing!! :D Thank you Susie :D

  • @tina333li The song is called Patricia. It was originally done by Perez Prado...I have no idea who does this version, but I am searching for it...if you find it please post it! Thanks! =)
