  • are you guys using a different camera for this episode?

  • No. Elliott just had it too close to our faces. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again.

  • @kurumais to really be a doom patrol fan you need weird bizare and strange personality to really enjoy the stories

  • @comicculturewarrior Grant Morrison in my opion did a very good but strange and bizare job with the Doom Patrol

  • @Sche13e Sorry, never read it. Did enjoy Kieth Giffen's run though. Elliott

  • i bought the issue and i was really disappointed with giffen. the metal men story though was pretty good. i wouldn't mind if perhaps the metal men took over the main title and dp took a back seat.

  • That Brit sounds like a complete douche bag E, you are not "Fat", you are a teddy bear and us ladies dig that. I saw your reviews for the Scott Pilgrims and your right there was nothing remotely negative about it. He sux!!!

  • Like Reign in Hell, I often find that I'm not fully absorbing all the information presented. Giffen writes extremely densely, but I find you can also enjoy the stories on a surface level as well.

  • never could get into doom patrol but i heard GREAT things about the metal men backup

    people are raving about it

  • i enjoyed the metal man back up more then doom patrol only because that was my first ever doom patrol comic and i did not no any one.

  • British people are terrible, I wouldn't let it bother you Elliott.

  • When the original Doom Patrol first appeared in 1963, the series writer, Arnold Drake, speculated that The X-Men were a knock-off of the Doom Patrol.

There are distinct similarities with the Doom Patrol to the Marvel's original X-Men but there are also simularities to the Fantastic Four, as well. By the way, the first issue of Fantastic Four did appear before the Doom Patrol's intitial run, so Marvel's first family could very well have been an inspiration for Arnold Drake.
