(09/24/11) JERSEY CITY - The New Jersey Transit held a drill today practicing its response to an emergency.
Fire, police, EMS, Office of Emergency Management and other agencies in Hudson County took part in the exercise that was held deep inside a train tunnel. According to the drill scenario, two trains collided.
Officials say the drill was conducted not only for training purposes, but also to control the media's access.
Afterward, representatives from each agency reviewed how the drill went and pinpointed what areas they need to work on.
