Australian Terror Plot Foiled Operation Neath 4 August 2009

Four men accused of plotting a mass suicide attack on an Australian army base have been arrested.More than 400 officers were involved in Operation Neath which involved raids on 19 properties in Melbourne.The suspects were allegedly planning an attack involving automatic weapons on Holsworthy Barracks on Sydney's western outskirts, Mr Negus added.Acting Australian Federal Police Commissioner Tony Negus said: "The men's intention was to actually go into the army barracks and to kill as many soldiers as they could until they themselves were killed."Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said the arrests showed "the threat of terrorism is alive and well".

I spoke to a truck driver a few years ago that told me he witnessed a massive fedral police presence at the Melbourne docks while he was picking up a container

He found out they found a container with many hundreds of kilograms of explosives hidden in it and were waiting for the owners to pick it up
