marquez was actually look in trouble in the early rounds...he's lucky diaz doesn't like like a bee but stings like a moth. great fight for marquez. I am the only one annoyed at kellerman, stewart and specially lampley on how they nuthug marquez? it just crazy who they jump on marquez's nuts and talk about him like he's boxing god.

aznvedz- I think they jumped ships at the end, but remmeber something critical that Max said I think in the 7th round and that was that Diaz offense was taxing Marquez, which is what I figured would happen over the whole 12 rounds. I really think Diaz has never recovered from the Campbell beating and certainly won't recover from this one, he is terrible when it comes to facing adversity (cuts). It's really HBO nut hugging Golden Boy is what it is.

dianneping8- Answer - NO. It was a great win but at the same time everybody knew Juan Diaz has almost no power and doesn't even turn over his punches correctly. Like aznvedz says wait until the hubaloo dies down. Does anybody really think Marquez has made the move to 135 as seemless as Pacquiao did? The wins have been really impressive but David Diaz and Oscar hardly laid a glove on Pac. Marquez has taken some heavy leather in his last 2 fights. That's all I want to point out, he's still great.

Lets be honest.... JMM is cut above a slow plodding boxer like diaz... you were crazy to pick a guy who uses his face as a defense against arguably the greatest counterpuncher in the sport.

COW- Lets be honest about 2 things you're right JMM is more than a cut above a volume puncher like Diaz, but boxing is kinder to the young and especially the bigger and younger and more active. I'm very happy w/the result I was rooting for JMM I just about always do.

Maybe I am crazy but at the same time I don't see your pre fight prediction anywhere to be found talking about crazy.

Just wanted to get my prediction in on this super fight between Marquez and Diaz. This will be a great fight, but Marquez is going to KO Diaz in the 9th. Marquez's heart, power, and experience will be too much to overcome.

This will be a great fight, and prediction is Marquez winning by TKO in the 9th. It will be close for the first 6, but the tide will start to turn in Marquez's favor in the 7th.

please do not put words in my mouth. I never said "he gets cut because he isn't skilled" or even close to that. I actually believe that Pac start to improve his boxing skill because of Marquez. I never said he's afraid to trade. Way back, MArquez is less willing to take a risk now he is more willing. He said that after one of his fight. I don't remember which fight but i'll find out. I'm not taking anything away. I said he USED to be . He was also one of the most avoided fighter before. His first real non-boring fight is when Pac fought him. That is also when he started getting recognition. Pac was always under Mayweather's shadow when Mayweather was getting all the glory. Now that Mayweather is gone, Pac deserves it. I do not Marquez is underrated. I think Pac is more underrated than Marquez. Everytime pac fights he always gets doubted than when Marquez is fighting.

marquez is never afraid to trade thats why he is always cut in his fights and dont try to say he gets cut because he isnt skilled, if marquez wanted to he could be just like mayweather and run away all night long but no he never runs

For marquez, he just started putting on a show...he used to be an incredibly boring fighter...but now he realizes that he needs to trade leathers to win the crowd. He learned that from morales and pacquiao...maybe from his younger brother too. He also realizes that he's getting slower and will get hit a lot more so he starting to learn that he will need to trade and take risk a lot more....ask winky.

we all know kellerman is a huge marquez nuthugger. Same goes with lampley. For Stewart, he likes a fighter who is technical...just look at lampley when he was commenting during the pac-diaz fight...pac was doing all great and lampley came up with a comments like "pac looks fast because diaz is very slow", and "you think pac is great? check out marquez". What kind of a commentator is that? Kellerman's ending comment is more like an "i told you so" comment.

i dont think so yet. I think the way you determine is to wait until the excitment of a previous fight settles in....meaning...we're all excited at the marquez-diaz fight and it's so easy right now to jump on the marquez boat....wait for about 1 month then come back at your p4p list...remember we felt the same way we did when pac beat diaz, pac beats oscar, hopkins beat pavlik, and mosley beat margarito...but now we're not that excited anymore because it was past...same goes with the marq-diaz.
