@teawead That makes sense, I don't think its familial, but I can definitely see stress being a factor... High stress academic program, an even more physically stressful track and field program and chronic depression to boot :P
Thanks for the response, I'll try to get it more often!

It's not good. You should try to get your measurement in the morning and evening over a period of 2 weeks, it's the only way to get a good measurement.
Also things like sweets, salt and low potassium levels will increase your blood pressure, you're exercising and i bet you're not fat, so the problem could be either familial or your diet and stressful life.

@Xennia2493 it varies, you can't just go off of one reading. Measure it at different times throughout the day and make sure u are relaxed, didn't just eat a big meal or drink coffee, shit like that.

I'm 66, was put on blood pressure med. Started getting chest pains, and shaking, my whole body would shake.
So I bought a home blood pressure test kit. Found out I was way low 100-60. Stopped taking the med. over 3 months time, reducing the dose a little at a time.
Now with no med. I'm 130-80 in the morning when I get up, and by night, It's down to 120-75, and sometimes lower.
I thing blood pressure helps some, but kills a lot of others.
By the way, no chest pains since stopping the med.!
