My wifey tells me that in the books, Edward dumps Bella because of an accident at the house on her birthday and in a peek of depression draws closer to Jacob. No cheating, just a bunch of creepy love.

I'm not a big fan of Twilight, but I actually do like that Meyer changed the whole mythology of vampires. It's interesting. And who says it's a bad thing? Every vampire "story" changes the vampire mythos, so why is this so bad?

I agree. It is an interesting take on 'traditional' vampire mythology. I like how the story does not conform to the norm.

ohhhh actually I DO have a question for mrs cutter ...is it true that the main character of twilight cheat on edward with the warewolf character? and if so does that change your view of her character?

I have heard that Bella & Edward have dated in real-life, but do not know if Bella & Jacob (werewolf) had any real-life involvement. Bella did not cheat on Edward in the Twilight movie. I have heard that the second book installment, New Moon, brings Bella & Jacob closer because Edward feels that he & Bella need "time apart". I have not read any of the book installments, but if Bella did in fact cheat on Edward (at all), she would lose any respect I might have had for her.
