"The Cup" - "Selfishness disguised as everyday life."
*This simple short film leaves you with a question "Who do you pour your life into? Yourself or others? In our insane, busy schedules we've become so self-centered and we don't even know it. The backbone of this film is "Selfishness disguised as everyday life."
*I was trying a few different styles of camera work and storytelling on this short film. A lot of lockdown shots (tripod and dolly) and having little to no dialogue to let the visuals tell the story. Too many filmmakers become one dimensional with their style and or camera style and I wanted to get a head start on trying new ways, styles and techniques to become a better storyteller. I want each one of my films to have a deeper meaning rather than just to be entertaining. I'm experimenting and practicing to better the art form of my filmmaking. Here's to the next one...
*FILMING TIME: We shot all day on a friday 8:00am-9:30pm (we traveled to a lot of locations) and we shot for about 2 hours on saturday morning for some coverage shots.
