This Seether/Nirvana comparison is CRAP. Look, don't get me wrong, Nirvana is a very good band....but they are WAY overrated. Seether is a much more consistent band. I personally like everything Seether has ever written. They even make some TERRIBLE songs like "Rehab" by Amy Winehouse and "Careless Whisper" by Wham sound really good. The only bad thing about Seether is the wait time they put us fans through in between new material.

Favorite song, favorite band, Seether is my third. Yes I actually rate this album so highly ahead of Seether's other work that it I'm willing to think of them as separate.

@YumYumYoMum Well i've heard and own everything Seether/Saron Gas has ever released, and I used to be a huge fan of Nirvana fan in my teen years, so I doubt that. But, yeah, agree to disagree.

@YumYumYoMum With all due respect, it's REALLY easy to just say "I think I recall an interview where he said they were". And I guess this is just going to have to end with a "agree to disgree", because I do NOT think Seether sounds like Nirvana.....I just don't. Also, I don't reeeeally think the "calm the fuck down mate" comment was necessary. It's not like I was caps locking the shit out of you or something.

@shreddinmetal4life Dude, they sound similar to Nirvana, so i doubt Shaun would say Nirvana sucks a big bag of dicks. They're almost certainly influenced, and I think i recall an interview where he said they were, so calm the fuck down mate.

And I don't believe that bullshit "this band wouldn't exist if it weren't for this other band", If it wouldn't have been Nirvana then it would have been some other band. Or maybe not. Who the fuck are we to say that ANY band was FOR SURE influenced by another? Maybe Seether thinks Nirvana sucks a big bag of dicks. Maybe they would have existed anyway. Who gives a shit? They're bands and they write music...

And Seether wouldnt be here if werent for Nirvana, they influenced everything, because they are one of the most influntial bands of all time. And just because YOU like everything seether has produced doesnt mean they're better than Nirvana. I happen to like everything Nirvana ever put out, just because I think that doesnt mean they're better.
