Google I/O 2009 - Exploring Chrome Internals

Darin Fisher

Learn about Google Chrome's multi-process architecture and sandboxing technology. This talk will provide an overview of the processes, threads, and IPC involved with getting pixels on the screen in a system where the WebKit rendering engine is denied, via the sandbox, from having direct access to your computer.

  • what? internals? chrome, ya, nonono, what were we talking about?

  • The only thing missing (and the most important) is a good API for add ons (look how shitty ad block plus is now)

4:20 it would be a cracker and not hacker

  • Chrome has a lot of addons i see.

  • @beak42py

For clowns liek you, even on windoze alt+f4 is faster.

  • @fatty28319 thats wat my google chrome keeps saying...wat do i do?!?!?!

  • Unable to access the network

Google Chrome is having trouble accessing the network.

This may be because your firewall or antivirus software wrongly thinks Google Chrome is an intruder on your computer and is blocking it from connecting to the Internet.

    Here are some suggestions:

Try adding Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.

  • @beak42py not everyone uses windoze ;-)

  • There should be a link to this in the developer documentation. Would be helpful.
