Inlandsbanan 2009 - Sweden's Inland Railway - Pite Alv bridge

Not the first vid on YT about this shared road/track bridge, but I've put it up anyway. There are two bridges of this kind on the IB, the other one is on the Mora-Ostersund stretch. And... These were all the people on board excluding me and the driver... They even have the odd empty train now and then, especially at the start of the tourist-season.

Thanks! And, depends. Did you take the regular Intercity or did you specifically travel by Inlandsbanan? It's a separate company, no longer part of the SJ.

The northern section was even more impressive. On a sad note: That day two days after this trip, we full-on hit a black bear. The driver actually backed up the train (dark already setting in) to check on its condition. We didn't find it. It's the true Wild North up there.

@rustinpieces The Inlandsbanan is wonderfull! Really a great trip. We had a sad note too: we hit five reindeers, which the driver had to check to, and kill the wounded... We found blood under the train hours later :-( Indeed a Wild North.

nice...we went from Stockholm to Ostersund so is this that route?
