Several family and friends witnessed cloud-to-cloud lightning (none of whom ever saw this before). I love a good storm and was amazed at this slow-moving, lightning storm that moved over the Lehigh valley for about an hour. More interesting than the storm is the goofy commentary offered by my kids, wife, niece and myself.

  • @ MrCaden: The cloud never really passed over us.

@ Tom: Wish I could have seen this from ABOVE the cloud. That would have been amazing.

@ Cute: Ha! That kid is my son, he is 15 now and totally not as nerdy as I thought he would be... ;)

  • Thanks, everyone. I listened to this again recently... omg, we (and by we, I mean me) were so LAME!!! Anyway, that storm was incredible and I haven't seen anything like it since then.

  • haha... ya, at 3:05 I belched. Lovely. :)

We live on the west end of Allentown, in Upper Macungie Township.

Again, thank you for the great comments and interest.

  • I appreciate the comments from everyone. I know the audio of us talking is lame... haha... we aren't all right in the head. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it!

  • nice burping

  • The UFO is just a firefly. There are some more you can see in this video, e.g. at 6m03s. It's purely coincidental that the firefly lights up when it had just passed the storm clouds.

  • Maybe it was ball lightning not a ufo.

    Anyways this is awesome!!

  • Did that lightning cloud eventually get to you guys?

  • @brimstoneloa We're up in Milford in Pike County and have it now. Thanks for uploading! :)

  • as soon as the one kid said it doesnt leave the cloud. it leaves the cloud

  • No thunder because it was too far away...silly rabbit!

  • The reason there is no thunder is because there is no charge from Earth to meet the charge from the lightning strike itself; that meeting of the positive and negative charges causes the thunder, it`s a colossal explosion. Because it`s not touching the ground, then there is no charge to be met with. Therefore, no thunder.
