On the 29th May 2010, the last U12 football final ever to be held in Tipperary was scheduled for 1pm. Half an hour late, Clonoulty and Killenaule took the field in Semple Stadium, the field of legends. Forty minutes of football to be played. Killenaule played well but seemed to loose their way in the 3rd quarter. At 35 minutes, 43 seconds the scoreboard said Killenaule 6, Clonoulty 11. All seemed lost, Killenaule supporters began to drop their heads, and lift their eyebrows in a way that said "Oops!". There was still faith, still belief, the sideline did not flinch. The mentors cajoled and encouraged and kept faith. Something clicked inside the Killenaule hearts, the heroes stood tall, and on the field of legends, history was made.
