Yo Terry, you are 5 days older than me. I started riding the MUni at 51. I climb some pretty steep hills in Boise, Idaho. I would love to give this hill a try. I would also love to try your KH 26 2-speed.

@troutt99 Hello! If you're ever out this way give me a holler and we'll both meet at Fargo and I'll also bring my geared uni for you to try!

I would love to know where exactly this hill is. I would like to try it for myself. I am a decent hill climber myself. I copied the dirty dozen bike race and put together a video already uploaded here on youtube. I feel that if I can successfully complete Fargo Street, there isn't any hill I can't climb. Keep up the good work.

Great going.
If you want to enjoy something else - 2 other experiences I recommend are:
1) VO2 max test where the workload cranks up every minute till ya drop!
2) A good mountain - say the Gross Glockner which takes about 3 hours to top!! But going down the other side is wasted on a uni - much more fun on a bicycle.
As for heart rate - you're not a machine. The heart stroke volume changes and I've had a week at a time where my rate is higher than usual.

@eTwisted Yeah I had been googling all that like crazy in the weeks leading up to it. But I had never reached that bpm until this climb! Nothing else has ever come close. My lungs were burnng so much during that climb, and it didn't go away for HOURS afterwards! Today I feel stronger somehow, like that climb actually made my lungs and heart more able now to process more oxygen when i get into that lactate threshold! I guess I'll find out on 3/6/11!
