the death toll wouldn't have been so high if emergency systems actually worked.. these fires wouldn't have been so devasting if the Grennies would let us clear our lands and surrounding bushland for dead trees etc.. or how about these fires wouldn't have happened if certain fuckknuckles didn't think it was fun to light fires.. I believe these boys were arrested and charged, they're names were never released for their safety..

i live in bendigo where 1 man was killed, 50 houses destroyed over 100 sheds (23million in damage). because a 14 and 15 year old decided hat they would like to light a fire on the outskirts of the city, they put 100,000 people at risk. i never even thoght that we would have a bushfire in bendigo but we did so whereever you live remember nowhere is bushfire proof. we were very lucky they stopped the fire half a killometer from the CBD.

i remember this really well - i only live 20mins from kinglake and i remember the sky turning red and the smell of buring wood for days on end. My mum got stuck in Yarra Glenn's IGA carpark with fire on three sides - i will never forget that day - the fear. Rest In Piece thoughs that did not make it out. May god hold you in his arms.

And while she's thanking god for her life perhaps she should also be thankful that god in his wisdom brought the fires down on her to teach her the valueless meaning of material things. Nevermind the loss of what she's built up over her lifetime, the loss of her friends and family who didn't survive, the loss of whole townships. They are just the costs to be paid for the opportunity of understanding god's true 'merciful' nature.
