The second day of our weekend trekking with the 'Handle it gang'
A 'tourist' stop off at a small cave on the farm, where we met a fresh water crayfish, and then a gallop up the airstrip

Thanks again for your hospitality. Always a great ride and a great weekend with good company. Saddle sores on me and horse but we recovering and can't wait to come back!

Yes, yes... you would be more correct 'crayfish'. :~)
We used to try and catch them for bait when I was a kid. Fish went crazy for crayfish. LOL!

Beautiful country--NZ is definitely on my wish list of places to travel. What a blast thundering across that field must have been--thanks for sharing this Mel .
