One point I can agree on Tony Smith about is this issue of sin. When did the black church start preaching that sin was okay? If sin is okay, then there is no need for repentance. But oh that is a lie because Christ pointedly said "Repent". It's scary to see so many people think they can defiantly stay in sin and not stop

I am not a Christian but I would reccomend this man to all the Christians I know. I really like that he uses his members to do the reading. It shows that he does not use his church to make it be all about himself. I also like that he studies the work of others in his profession and is bold enough to call them out on their misuse and abuse of THE BOOK. This shows me that he has chosen to NOT be in brotherhood with MAN...but stands alone with his GD. To me...this is exactly what Jesus did.

Mark 1:14-15 has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit. READ the verses. The Jews had to repent of rejecting their Messiah as well as breaking commandments. They were not taught about the death, burial and resurrection of Christ rather simply to beleive on Jesus the Messiah be baptised for the remission of sin and keep ALL of the commandments. That is the gospel of the Kingdom. That is what got the Jews saved until the Temple was destroyed and the apostle Paul started revealing the gospel of grace.

pt 2 When the virgin and her husband came to know each other the woman had a thing called a hyman which the husband break upon entering her and there was the shedding of blood. Blood sealed the covenant just like in Exodus. But you see Romans 7 is saying that when the husband dies, covenant of marriage with shedding of blood, the woman is free from that. So we are free from the law because, Christ, husband of the church who is the bride, died to set us free.

verse 1 Those who know the law were the Jews, NOT the Gentiles who are not under the laws of Israel. Verses 2 - 6 are comparing the marriage covenant to the covenant of the law of Israel. As when a woman's husband dies. [Christ is the husband of the church who is the bride] That woman is no longer under the marriage covenant. [Christ died now the church is no longer under the law given to Israel.] If a woman was a virgin when she married [ entered into a covenant with her husband] pt1
Hey, how are you, brother yahschild? I hope all is going well with you. I had a question about this video. According to Romans 7: 4, it talks about being married to Christ and dead to the works of the law. I understand vaguely what Elder Smith is talking in terms of it meaning their strength through the law is what has been put away, but what other scriptural references are there to clarify his point? Thanks.
